Corruption in electoral rolls: 14 suspended

Siddharthnagar, Jan 20 (UNI) Fourteen officials were suspended today for gross irregularities in the electoral rolls in Basti division of Uttar Pradesh.

Basti Divisional Commissioner B D Singh here today said the step was taken following an investigation against 96 officials posted in Basti, Sant Kabirnagar and Siddharthnagar districts.

While, seven officials were suspended each in Basti and Siddharthnagar, 40 others had been given an adverse entry.
