Cauvery Tribunal's decision to render justice: TN

Chennai, Jan 20: The Tamil Nadu Government today hoped that the final award of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal on February five would render justice to the state, Governor S S Barnala told the State Assembly.

Delivering the customary address to the House, he said the farmers of Tamil Nadu had been waiting for the last 16 years expecting the final award of the Tribunal, which was constituted during Mr V P Singh's tenure as the Prime Minister, on a request from the state.

''The final award is expected to be delivered on February five.

We hope that this award would render justice and provide livelihood to the farmers'', he added,.
