AP govt to take up second phase of ORR project
Hyderabad, Jan 20 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government today decided to take up the second phase of Outer Ring Road (ORR) project for a total length of about 61.80 km at the cost of Rs 1731 crore.
Briefing newspersons on the decisions taken at the cabinet meeting here, state Information and Public Relations minister Mohd Ali Shabbir said the second phase ORR project would be taken up from Narsingi to Patancheru and Shamshabad to Pedda Amberpet.
The ORR would connect to upcoming International Airport at Shamshabad, Fabcity, hardware park from National Highway 9 on both Mumbai and Vijayawada sides.
The project would be taken up on Public Private Partnership (PPP) based on Build operate Trasfer (BOT) basis. The bids will be invited through international competitive bidding.
He said the cabinet also approved to allot 50 acres of land to EBC Bearings (India) limited for the establishment of large size bearings plant and vendor park in association with the European Bearing Corporation of Russia and its associates, in the city. The land was alloted to the company at the rate Rs 30 lakh per acre.
The cabinet ratified the sanction of enhanced DA at the rate of 4.71 per cent of basic pay and cumulative rate of 18.84 per cent of basic pay to state government employees, Mr SHabbir said adding the state government would bear the burden of Rs 501.93 crore peryear on state exchequer due to increase of the DA.
