2 woman held with fake currency

Kohima, Jan 20: Two women were arrested at Chumukedima in Dimapur district for possessing fake currency notes.

Official sources here today said the duo was detected in a shop at Chumukedima by the town council officials, who later handed them over to police.

Police recovered 1016 notes of Rs 500 denomination denominations from them, that amounted to Rs 80,090.

The women have been identified and a case registered in Diphuper Police Station for further investigation to apprehend the racket of counteirfiet currency, sources added.
