2 Naxalites killed in encounter

Jagdalpur, Jan 20 (UNI) Police today claimed that two naxalites were killed in an encounter with the police in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

The encounter took place last evening in the forest near Koda village under Vedre police station area when a police team was patrolling the area.

Two naxalites, who were yet to be identified, were killed on the spot and police recovered two guns from the spot. The bodies had been kept at Vedre police station, Bijapur's Superintendent of Police Ratanlal Dangi said.
