Young scribe shot dead
Jamshedpur, Jan 19: Unidentified assailants gunned down Keshav Singh alias Dipu, a journalist of a Hindi fortnightly, at Bagbera area here last night, police today said.
Police said Keshav (24) was shot at from close range near his residence when he was returning home on his bike. He received two bullet injuries on his chest and shoulder. He was rushed to the Tata Main Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police rushed to the spot and recovered two cartrides. A manhunt has been launched to nab the culprits. Police did not rule out gang rivalry behind the murder.
Keshav, a third-year B A student of local Cooperative college, was the chief repoter of the fortnightly ''Pooja Bharti Today'', launched here recently.
