Winter starts receeding in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jan 19 (UNI) The city today continued to maintain a slight rise in the mercury level with minimum temperature at 12 degree Celsius and maximum at 25 degree Celsius.

Met officials forecast a clear sky with no rainfall, adding that the climate would remain warm.

The maximum humidity recorded was 90 per cent and the minimum was 41 per cent in the morning hours.

The Met sources said the temperatures have begun to rise during the day hours. However, the nights are still chilly and would remain so for a few days more.
