Sugar prices declined on poor demand
Mumbai, Jan 19 (UNI) Sugar prices declined on poor demand today, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.
Sugar in the small grade eased by Rs seven per quintal on lack of fresh demand while Medium grade remained flat on moderate demand.
Ex-mill sugar in the small grade remained flat while Medium grade slashed by Rs five on sluggish demand by stockists.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,513/1,550, Medium grade: Rs 1,550/1,653, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,495/1,515, Medium grade: Rs 1,515/1,560.
