Silver and Gold fall on weak global advices
Mumbai, Jan 19 (UNI) Gold and Silver prices fell on weak global advices with the white metal dropping by Rs 155 per kg and Gold by Rs 55 per ten gms on lack of fresh demand on the Bombay Bullion Exchange today.
Silver fineness opened low at Rs 19,215 per kg on thin buying support and slightly improved and closed at Rs 19,260 with a huge loss of Rs 155 from yesterday's close.
In London, the white metal was quoted low at 12.67/12.70 per troy ounce against US 12.65/12.67 dollars per troy ounce in New York.
Similarly, standard Gold (99.5) opened low at Rs 9,055 on poor demand and closed at Rs 9,050 per ten gm with a loss of Rs 55 from its last close.
Pure gold (99.9) opened low at Rs 9,105 per ten gm and closed at Rs 9100 with a loss of Rs 55 from its previous close.
In London, the yellow metal fell at USD 627.80/629.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 625.50/627.50 per troy ounce in New York on Thursday.
