Kolkata, Jan 19 (UNI) Good news for team Buddha. Kolkata will witness sharp increase in business sentiment, ahead of Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, during January-March 2007, according to a latest study conducted by a recruitment consulting firm TeamLease Kolkata .

The latest TeamLease report said the city has seen a growth of 13 per cent in "business outlook" over the last quarter, much ahead than Mumbai and Delhi.

It mentioned that the job market in Mumbai grew by 5 per cent and Delhi 6 per cent, Bangalore witnessed a marginal fall of one per cent on the business outlook parameter.

In the questionnaire-based survey undertaken by the consultant also pointed out that the growth average nationwide was 6 per cent.

TeamLease experts said the city's impressive growth has been noted in the manufacturing sector, followed by the financial services arena.

Considering that JSW Steel recently signed a Rs 35,000-crore deal for a steel plant here, the bullish sentiment expressed by manufacturing firms was quite expected. Tata Motors' plan to set up a small car plant in Bengal was another boost to investor's sentiment, the report pointed out.

However, the consulting firm TeamLease pointed out that Kolkata still has still a long way to go to emerge as an employees' paradise. Bangalore remains the favourite destination for jobseekers, followed by Mumbai and Delhi.

TeamLease had contacted human resource heads of numerous companies for arriving at a conclusion of what businessmen were thinking.
