Satyam Computer Q3 declines to Rs 343.30 crore

Mumbai, Jan 19: Satyam Computer Services Ltd has posted profit after taxation of Rs 343.30 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 compared to Rs 493.08 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 1518.49 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 to Rs 1604.60 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.

As per the Consolidated results under Indian GAAP, the group has posted profit after taxation and share of loss in associate Company and minority interest of Rs 337.23 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 429.54 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

Total Income has increased from Rs 1514.69 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 to Rs 1671.29 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.

The Consolidated results as per US GAAP shows that the Group has posted a Net Income of $ 71.1 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 as compared to $ 93.0 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. Revenues have increased from $ 281.8 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 to $ 375.6 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.
