Joyram Engling elected chairman of KAAC

Diphu, Jan 19 (UNI) Joyram Engling (INC) has been elected as the chairman of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) here today.

While Mr Engling bagged 15 votes , his rival Badal Tissu (Independent) got only ten votes of a total 25 newly elected members of the 26-member council.

Election to one seat has been countermanded following the death of a candidate.

UNI
