ICSI elects its first lady President
New Delhi, Jan 19 (UNI) The twenty members national executive council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) elected Ms Preeti Malhotra as its president for a four year term at its election held here today.
According to an ICSI statement issued here, Ms Malhotra is the first lady President of the institute.
She was a member of the Dr J J Irani Expert Committee constituted by the Government on the new company law. The committee submitted its report on May 31, 2005.
She is presently a director in ICSI and company secretary of spice Communications Pvt Ltd.
The members also elected Keyoor M Bakshi as its vice president for the same tenure commencing from today.
