Diamond broker murdered in the city

Surat, Jan 19 (UNI) A 36-year-old diamond broker was murdered today by unidentified persons at Katargam area of the city, police said.

The deceased, Dageshbhai Dhoodbhai Makwana, working in the Katargam area for the last six months was killed around 1600 hrs, police said.

The assailants entered the shop of Makwana in Anath Ashram area of Katargam and attacked him with sharp weapons. Makwana was killed on the spot, police said.

Police suspect that the motive behind the murder is theft.
