Dabur India Q3 net profit rises to Rs 71.73 crore

Mumbai, Jan 19: Dabur India Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 71.73 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 57.97 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

Announcing the results, the company said that its total income is Rs 510.64 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 as against Rs 405.85 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

As per the consolidated results, the group has posted a net profit after minority interest of Rs 79.27 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, where as the same was at Rs 64.93 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

Total income is Rs 620.86 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 where as the same was at Rs 543.00 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

Consequent to the merger of three subsidiaries namely Balsara Home Products, Balsara Hygiene Products and Besta Cosmetics with the Company retrospectively from April 01, 2006, the figures for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 reflect post merger figures and hence not comparable with figures of previous period / year.
