Creative leadership required to renovate Bihar-Kalam

Patna, Jan 19 (UNI) Suggesting a ten-point formula for prosperity through smart governance President A P J Abdul Kalam today stressed the need for creative leaders with great vision to make Bihar prosperous, happy and peaceful State before 2015.

In his inaugural speech at "Global meet for a resurgent Bihar" Dr Kalam said that creative leadership was essential for success of the developmental projects as the creative leaders had the vision to change the traditional role from the commander to the coach, manager to mentor, from director to delegator and from one who demands respect to one who facilitates self-respect.

For a prosperous and developed Bihar, he suggested the industry and business leaders use their creative leadership and innovative ideas to organise and nurture entrepreneurship.

He exhorted the political parties to work above party line and cooperate in development of the state which would in turn develop the political parties too.

The ten point developmental formula suggested by Dr Kalam included Fiscal correction, restructuring the debt and borrowings.

restructuring the Public sector corporations, creation of an export led economy in the state, reviving the agriculture sector by diversification and efficiency in water management.
