Woman killed in Bison attack, farmer severely injured

Kolhapur, Jan 18 (UNI) A woman was killed after being attacked by a bison while a farmer was severely injured in a separate attack reported from two different villages in this district.

Police and forest officials informed that the woman, Tulsabai Nivruti Belekar (45), was working in a farm at Karadwadi village in Bhudargad tehsil yesterday when she was attacked by a bison. She died on the spot.

The second incident was reported from Bazar-Bhogaon village today. Dadu Pandurang Nathe, the farmer, was also working in his field when he was attacked by a bison.

The farmer has been severely injured and admitted to the civil hospital here.
