Uma's party seeks security for its leaders in Punjab
Chandigarh, Jan 18 (UNI) The Bhartiya Jan Shakti of Uma Bharti today demanded police security for its leaders in Punjab, apprehending threat to their lives ahead of the coming assembly elections.
''Some of our party office bearers of state as well as district level have received indirect threats from unknown persons. It is apprehended that there is danger to the life of these party activists,'' party's Punjab president Pawan Valecha said in a letter to the state Director General of Police.
He urged the DGP to provide ''proper security arrangements'' for the party office bearers to protect their lives.
