Three CRPF jawans wounded, driver killed in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 18 (UNI) A driver of a tanker was killed and three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were wounded in a road accident at Awantipora on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway today.
Police said a CRPF vehicle collided with the tanker on the 300-km Srinagar-Jammu national highway-1A at Chachkote, Awantipora in south Kashmir's Anantnag district this morning.
While tanker driver Rakesh Kumar of Jammu died on the spot, three CRPF personnel were wounded in the accident. They have been hospitalised. Police have registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a scooter driver hit and wounded a pedestrian, Showkat Ahmad Mir, at Kandhama near Magam.
