Senior RJD leader and former Minister surrenders

Patna, Jan 18 (UNI) Former Bihar Minister and senior RJD leader Jagdanand Singh today surrendered before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate here in connection with the charges of irregularities in Durgawati Irrigation project against him.

CJM Sushma Sinha later released Mr Singh on bail after the deposited two sureties of Rs 25,000 each.

A district and sessions court had already given anticipatory bail to Mr Singh in the case with a direction to surrender in the lower court within a month.

Mr Singh had been charged with irregularities in the land allotted for Durgawati project.
