Rains likely in Uttaranchal, HP, J

Pune, Jan 18 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal and Orissa.

Cold wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Jharkhand and east Uttar Pradesh.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Punjab and south interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand and east Uttar Pradesh.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Haryana, west Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh and were above normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Telangana and Kerala.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Mainly dry weather prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand and Bihar.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
