One student drowns, 2 still missing

Panaji, Jan 18 (UNI) An 18-year-old student from Chikmagalur drowned off the Colva beach in South Goa while two other students are still missing.

Police said 68 college students, accompanied by six teachers, were on a tour and visited the Colva beach today.

A few students entered the waters for a swim and three of them were swept away. One of the boys, Anil Akananshi, was rescued but he died after being rushed to the hospital. Two other boys -- Chetan and Manjunath, both 19-year-olds, are still missing and the Coast Guard is assisting the police in tracing them.
