Manab Bose joins Air Deccan

Bangalore, Jan 18 (UNI) Low cost airliner Air Deccan today announced the appointment of thought leader and outstanding HR professional Manab Bose to look after its Human Resource function.

Air Deccan Managing Director Capt G R Gopinath, in a release here, hoped that the exhaustive experience of Mr Bose would act as a catalyst for the airline's vision to emerge as the most preferred employer. To build a great organisation, it was important to build a great place to work replete with the best systems and processes.

Mr Bose had headed HR teams for over two decades in leading domestic and international corporations. In his various stints worldwide, he had been instrumental in pioneering new process systems to enhance organisation, leadership and quality set ups. In the 1990s, he became the first Indian to head HR at GE India. In 1996, he was hand picked by Jack Welch as a member of GE Global Talent Development Forum, an apex body to identify and build global leadership talent. Mr Bose had served the Tata Group as Group HR Head, reporting to Mr Ratan Tata. He was also the Personnel Director for Colgate Palmolive India for five years.
