Man burns infant daughter

Seoni, MP, Jan 18 (UNI) Suspecting his wife's fidelity, a man poured kerosene over his four-month-old daughter and burnt her alive at a forest in this district, the police said.

Sewan Kanhan village-resident Anil Pandre, who was having a dispute with his wife, reached the riverbank where she had gone to wash clothes yesterday afternoon. The accused lifted the infant and carried her into the jungle and set her ablaze.

Pandre surrendered, confessed and was arrested. Senior police officers reached the spot today.
