Life returns to normal in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 18 (UNI) Life returned to normal in the Kashmir valley today after a general strike crippled life yesterday.

Shops and business establishments reopened this morning and traffic on all routes was normal. Work in government offices and commericial establishments resumed this morning.

Total shut down was observed yesterday on a general strike called by breakaway Hurriyat Conference (HC) in protest against the dialogue process between Centre and leaders of moderate HC and their (HC leaders) visit to Pakistan.
