JK Legislatures pay tributes to Justice Sethi

Jammu, Jan 18 (UNI) Both the houses of Jammu and Kashmir Legislature today paid rich tributes to Justice R P Sethi and observed two minutes silence in respect of the departed soul.

Assembly speaker Tara Chand referred to the demise of Justice Sethi before Question Hour and recalled his service as Chairman of the Accountability Commission and state Award Committee for best legislator.

He said Justice Sethi was a great jurist, who left an indelible imprint of his calibre in various capacities.

Council Chairman Abdul Rashid Dar while paying tributes to Justice Sethi described him as highly placed justice of the country.

The members who also paid rich tributes to Justice Sethi in the House included Minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma, Prof Bhim Singh among others.

The House was later adjourned for today.
