JK govt refers 3242 vacancies of teachers

Jammu, Jan 18 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma today informed the house that the state government has referred 3242 vacancies of teachers to ssrb with the instructions for early selection.

He said 1570 and 176 B ed and M ed educated unemployed youth are registered with various employment exchanges as on 31ST December 2006 and added that it is not possible for the government to provide jobs to all educated unemployed youth in view of limited financial resources and vacancies.

Replying to another question, the Health Minister said the patients suffer due to shortage of doctors and para medical staff in the state.

He however, said efforts are being made to attend the patient despite the shortage of manpower. Vacancies have since been referred to PSC SSRB and the process of selection is underway.

In reply to a question Minister of Sstate for Revenue, Prem Sagar Aziz informed the house Rs 1,88,90,000 stands disbursed as relief in Budgam District on account of damages due to earth quake.

He further said that Rs 584 crore were received from Centre out of which Rs 581 crore stands disbursed among the quake affected people. He further said that only 13406 cases of partially damaged house were pending in the district.
