Infant kidnapped from hospital

New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) An infant was this morning kidnapped from the Kasturba Gandhi hospital at old Delhi by an unidentified woman.

According to a complaint recieved from the mother of Soma, a resident of Gandhinagar, the six-day old male child has been missing since this morning after Soma handed over the child to the said women whom she had befriended during her stay at the hospital, at about 0730 Hours today.

Police said the lady on Tuesday came to the ward where Soma was admitted and gained her confidence by stating that her bhabhi is admitted on the 3rd floor of the hospital.

At 0730 hours today, the complainant Soma handed over her infant to the stranger lady and went to toilet. In the meantime, the lady ran away with the infant.

A case has been registered in Jama Masjid police station.

A sketch of the unidentified lady, based on description given by the mother, has been released.
