Hooch claims eyesight of 2 youth

Lucknow, Jan 18 (UNI) Two youths lost their eyesight after allegedly consuming illicit country liquor in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

Official sources said here today, Anirudh Nishad (18) and Lalman (30) consumed hooch two days back at a remote Bhauran village.

They experienced pain in their eyes and were taken to the district hospital.

The two have been taken to Kanpur for treatment.

Meanwhile, the excise department sleuths were tryaing to arrest the liquor vendor.
