JK: Governor, CM condole Justice Sethi's demise

Jammu, Jan 18: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt-Gen S K Sinha and Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad have expressed grief over the death of former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Ram Prakash Sethi.

Conveying his condolences to the bereaved family, the Governor said Sethi's death yesterday was a big loss to Jammu and Kashmir as well as the nation. He was a distinguished luminary in the field of judiciary, General Sinha said.

The Chief Minister said Sethi had established his legal acumen while rendering commendable services in various capacities.

Expressing his sympathies with the bereaved family, the Chief Minister said he was a respectable personality and very noble by nature.

Meanwhile, Bar Association, Jammu, condoling the demise of Justice Sethi, decided to suspend work in all courts tomorrow as a mark of respect.

Former Supreme Court Judge and former chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Accountability commission Justice Sethi died in Chandigarh last evening. His cremation is to be held here in Jammu today.
