Gandhians protest racist approach

Jammu, Jan 18: Gandhians here strongly condemned the racist approach of British channel's reality show 'Big Brother' against film star Shilpa Shetty.

Mr S P Verma of All India Gandhian Workers Society (AIGWS) said Mahatma Gandhi started his political career with an anti-racist campaign, therefore it is duty for all Gandhian-lovers, patriots and people of the sub-continent to rise to the occasion and adopt Swaraj in real sense by boycotting all racists.

''British based electronic channels are penetrating our country,'' he said appealing to all cable operators to learn lessons from Gandhi and adopt democratic approach in dealing with the situation.
