4 Hizbul Mujahideen militants killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 18: Security forces gunned down four militants of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) in a fierce encounter in the Kashmir valley, a police spokesman said.

He said a joint search party of security forces and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police conducted search operation in a village at Kulgam late last night after receiving information that militants were hiding there.

He said during the operation an encounter took place in which four HM militants were killed.

A large quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered during the operation.
