Four get life term for abducting students
Yamunanagar, Jan 18 (UNI) A local court today sentenced four people to life imprisonment for abducting two engineering students in this district in 2005.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Darshan Kumar also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on each of the accused -- Rajesh, Hashim, Shehzad and Shiv Kuma. They had abducted Varun and Abhishek, first year students of Radaur Engineering College, for ransom on April 28, 2005.
The accused were, however, arrested at Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh and the students rescued by the police on May 7, the same year.
