Former MP dead

Shahdol, MP, Jan 18 (UNI) Former Rajya Sabha MP Mohammad Ali Ansari died at his residence in Budhar of this district.

He was 85.

The end came yesterday evening. Mr Ansari, who served as Congress MP from 1956 to 1962, is survived by a large family.

He was born at Bahura village near Budhar. Mr Ansari, who was a friend of former Gujarat Governor Krishnapal Singh, practised law for a brief period.

The burial took place at a graveyard in Budhar this morning.
