Dutch national arrested under suspicious circumstances

Dharamshala, Jan 18 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Police have arrested a Dutch national under suspicious circumstances in the town, police sources said yesterday.

Stefanie Martina, 26, was arrested by the police following reports that she was moving under suspicious circumstances in the town for the last three days.

The sources said on being questioned she told the police that she had entered the country on a student visa and was a student of Gujarat International Ayurvedic University at Chankiya Bhawan in Gujarat and had been staying at Yol, near here.

Ms Martina's claim turned out to be false after investigations with that University, the sources said.

The sources said the Dutch national has been arrested under the Foreigner Act and investigations were on.
