Dollex Industries to set up ethanol unit

New Delhi, Jan 18: Ethanol, potable alcohol and rectified spirit manufacturer Dollex Industries Ltd today announced it will invest Rs 20 crore as part of its three-year expansion plan, for setting up of its second ethanol unit at Nanded, Maharashtra. This unit, with a capacity of 45,000-50,000 litres per day, will be commissioned by 2007-08, next sugar season.

The raw material for the new unit will be supplied by th company's recently acquired Godavari Manar Sugar Mills at Nanded.

''With this expansion the company expects to have a huge pricing edge over its competitors as well as triple its ethanol production by 2008 in-line with its three-year plan of becoming an integrated sugar, alcohol and ethanol manufacturer,'' a company statemet said.
