Doctor shot dead in Haryana

Karnal, Jan 18 (UNI) A BAMS doctor was shot dead by unidentified assailants in this district last evening, police today said.

Randhir Singh (50), practising in Rajaund town of Kaithal district, was returning on his motorbike to his village Phapharana when he was shot from point blank range on the Phapharana-Dupheri link road.

The killers fled away on the deceased's motorcycle.

Some villagers found the doctor's body lying in a pool of blood and reported the matter to the police.

A case was registerd under sections 302, 34 of IPC and 25, 54, 59 under the Arms Act against the unidentified killers who were absconding.
