Decomposed bodies found

Coimbatore, Jan 18: The rural police recovered two decomposed bodies from the Parambikulam-Aliyar Project Channel near Karupparayan Temple Bridge at Udamalpet in the district yesterday.

Police said the bodies, identified as those of Archana (19) and her brother Vinod Kumar (11), were found with the hands tied.

A search is on for their mother Kalamani (40). According to a complaint, Kalamani left home with her children after a quarrel with her husband who was an habitual gambler.

"They had been to her sister's home but did not return,'' said the police.
