DDA likely to finalise Delhi Master Plan 2021 tomorrow: Kidwai

New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) Delhi Administrator A R Kidwai today said Delhi Development Authority is likely to finalise the Master Plan 2021 by tomorrow, which could then be notified by the Centre before January 31.

Talking to mediapersons at his official residence here, he said all efforts were being made to accommodate as many suggestions, given by MLAs and Delhi government, as possible so that the maximum people could be benefited.

''The idea is to rid the city of all demolitions and sealing action,'' he said, however adding that the authorities would ensure there was no further illegal constructions or unauthorised change of user.

''There should be review of the Master Plan every three to five years,'' he opined.

Dr Kidwai refused to blame DDA for the present mess in the city, and instead held its exponential growth responsible.

He supported Delhi government's demand of exercising control over DDA and added that the national capital should be developed along with the towns of the National Capital Region.
