Cold winds buffet MP
Bhopal, Jan 18 (UNI) Cold winds have intensified over Madhya Pradesh where the mercury dropped to five degrees Celsius at Raisen and the ancient temple town Ujjain.
In northern Madhya Pradesh, Malwa, Mahakaushal, Vindhya and the central region, the maximum hovered between 23 and 27 C while the minimum lay between 5 and 8 C. People were observed huddling around bonfires.
The state capital recorded a low of 8.6 C. The mercury plummeted to the season's coldest 7.2 C at the cantonment town Jabalpur.
