Cold wave continues in eastern UP

Lucknow, Jan 18 (UNI) There was no let up in the cold wave in eastern Uttar Pradesh, with Sultanpur recording 5.3 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hrs -- 4 degrees below normal.

According to the met office here today, night temperature fell in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Allahabad, Agra and Faizabad divisions.

The cold wave is likely to continue in the days to come and there would be no marked rise in temperature.

The weather would also remain dry.

Several long distance trains passing through Lucknow were delayed due to fog.
