CM expresses shock over boat tragedy

Hyderabad, Jan 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, who is in New Delhi, expressed shock at the boat accident in the river Krishna in Mahaboobnagar district today, which claimed ten lives and left over 37 others missing.

Dr Reddy directed the district collector and Superintendent of Police to take all measures to help the victims, an official rlease said.

Dr Reddy announced that all relief and assistance would be given to the next of kin of those who died, apart from the injured.

The Chief Minister, cutting short his Delhi visit, is likely to visit the accident site tomorrow. He also asked Ministers concerned to coordinate relief activities.
