City experiences cold morning

Kolkata, Jan 18 (UNI) Kolkatans who were ruing the warm winter have a reason to rejoice as the city today experienced a minimum temperature of 12.3 degree Celsius against yeasterday's 16.1 degrees.

The MET office forecast the minimum temperature would hover around 11 degree Celsius for the next couple of days.

Today's maximum temperature was 23.2 degree Celsius.

High humidity of about 94 per cent was recorded in the morning which dipped to 48 per cent as the day progressed. No rainfall was recorded, sources said.

The adjacent areas also experienced a minimum temperature below 13 degrees. Dumdum recorded a minimum temperature of 12 degrees, while Diamond Harbour recorded a minimum temperature of 11.5 degrees, sources added.
