60 year old woman murdered in east Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) A 60-year-old woman was murdered by two unidentified assailants in Welcome Colony in East Delhi this evening, police said.

Naseema was found with her throat slit in her two storeyed house in Welcome Colony.

Police said the two assailants entered the house from the terrace of the first floor when Naseema's husband Saifuddin had gone to offer namaz and her son Vikram, and daughter-in-law were also away.

The duo demanded money by threatening her with a knife. After handing them over Rs 10,000, Naseema tried to nab the robbers as they were leaving. In the ensuing scuffle, the robbers slit her throat with the knife.

Naseema was rushed to the GTB hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Search is on to nab the assailants.
