52% increase in CanFin Homes' Q3 profits

Bangalore, Jan 18 (UNI) CanFin Homes today reported a net profit of Rs 24.42 crore for the quarter ending December 31, 2006, up by 52 per cent over Rs 16.94 crore earned during the corresponding period last fiscal.

The company, in a release here, said the operating income for the period had grown by 34 per cent when compared to the previous fiscal, increasing from Rs 104.03 crore to Rs 139.55 crore as on December 31, 2006.

The recovery percentage of the company had been good and stood above 95 per cent and the net NPA percentage was 0.82 per cent.

CanFin Homes' housing loan outstanding had reached a level of Rs 1,925.88 crore, registering a growth of 17 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The disbursements in housing loans up to this financial year's third quarter stood at Rs 362.87 crore. The cumulative sanctions of the company reached Rs 4,802 crore, while the cumulative disbursements touched Rs 4,144 crore till December 2006.
