Wipro make strides in Infrastructure engineering

Bangalore, Jan 17 (UNI) IT Major Wipro Technologies, has made a big stride in the Infrastructure Engineering sector, considered another 'Sunrising segment' and has emerged world's second Hydraulic Cylinders solution provider with the acquisition of Europe based Hydrauto Group (AB) engaged in production, marketing and development of customized Hydraulic cylincers.

Speaking to newsmen after announcing the results of the third quarter of the company, Wipro Chairman Ajim Premji said that there was considerable potential to grow in the Infrastructure structure equally in domestic and Global.

He said that Wipro which had four manufacturing units in Chennai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyuderabad had acquired 100 per cent equity of Hydrauto Group (AB) engaged in Europe and had became the world's second largest producers of customized Hydraulic cylinders solutions for mobile applications including mobile cranes, excavators, dumpers and trucks. Domestically the industry had witnessed about 38 per cent CAGR last year and it offered more opportunities to grow in the sector. "Wipro has assumed major market share in the Indian Market" in this sector, he said.
