Wipro ensures high-level security against terror threat

Bangalore, Jan 17 (UNI) IT Major Wipro Technologies has upgraded its security infrastructure both in Physical and Electronic equipments following inputs from the Karnataka government against the possible terrorist attack on its headquarters.

Expressing gratitude to the state government on the security alert, Wipro Chairman Azim Premji, however, said today there was no reason for any concern about the threat, adding, ''we are quite safe''.

Mr Suresh Senapaty, Chief Finance Officer (CFO), said the company had taken all measures to upgrade its security arrangements and informed that the Wipro premises in the electronic city was power-fenced and no vehicles would be allowed inside without proper check.
