Ardh Kumbh Nagar, Allahabad, Jan 17 (UNI) The VHP-sponsored 12th Dharma Sansad today reiterated the a temple would be constructed on the same place, where 'Ramlala' (makeshift temple) is seated.

The Sansad asserted that the construction of Babri mosque in the periphery of Ayodhya would not be allowed at any cost.

''We would not even allow the construction of a mosque in the name of 'invader' Babur in any part of the country,'' the Sansad resolved.

Criticising the visit of some religious leaders to Ayodhya and advocating the construction of both temple and mosque side by side, the Dharma Sansad observed it was against the wishes of Hindus.

''The community would never tolerate both the temple and mosque together.'' VHP national general secretary Praveen Bhai Togadia suggested there were only three alternatives to the temple construction.

''First, Muslims should abandon their claim on that land and pave the way for the temple. Second, it could happen through court settlement, which does not seem possible in near future and the third, the government through legislation acquire the land like Somnath temple in Gujarat and hand over it to Hindus.'' He said from past experiences, it does not seem likely that Muslims would hand over the land to Hindus for temple construction.

The other alternative is the Hindus should unite and force the government to hand over the land to the community, Dr Togadia said.

''VHP has decided to launch a massive countrywide movement in October and November. The saints and seers will come out of their respective mutts after Ram Navmi festival and visit villages and mobilise peoples' opinion for the Ram temple construction.'' UNI
