Tibetan activists hold anti-China demonstrations
New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) Tibetan activists today held a demonstration here in protest against Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo's India visit for talks on longstanding Sino-India border dispute.
The activists also submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, urging the Government not to sign any agreement with the Chinese official.
The demonstrators, wearing black badges, raised anti-China slogans during the demonstration at Jantar Mantar here.
Tibetan Youth Congress secretary Dhondup Dorjee said China had occupied Tibet in 1949 and the border dispute with India was a ''myth create by Beijing''.
''The territory that China claims is Tibet which it occupied in 1949 so where does the issue of border dispute arise. China has no right over this territory,'' he added.
National Security Advisor (NSA) M K Narayanan is holding talks with the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister here.
