Three tribals charred to death

Baripada, Jan 17 (UNI) Three tribals were charred to death while guarding a paddy stack at Maharajpur village under Jashipur police station, about 15 km froim here, late last night.

Police today said the completely charred bodies of a couple identified as Madurai Hembram and Chulba Hembram were recovered from the spot.

The other deceased was identified as a eight-year-old Banguru Sirka, a nephew of Madurai Hembram.

The trio were guarding the paddy stack in the village when it caught fire from a kerosene lamp following a rough weather in the night.

The District Collector has announced ex-gratia of Rs 3000 to the next kins of the deceased from the Red Cross.
